To help make applications fast and simple we offer AltDoc Xpress, a fully digital process that allows accountants and borrowers to complete the Accountant's Letter and Declaration of Financial Position electronically, reducing manual paperwork and significantly speeding up application processing. 

Loan features that may help

  • Up to 98% LVR including LVR on residential purchases 

  • No DTI cap 

  • Actual repayments + 25% buffer for existing debts with other lenders (rather than a full assessment rate) 

  • 40-year loan terms 

  • Manual credit assessment 

  • Recognition of negative gearing for investors for eligible properties.

Full doc requirements 

Options include:

  • Last one or two years' tax returns and Notices of Assessment; or

  • Accountant-prepared financial statements.

For servicing, where two years of financials are provided, we’ll generally use the average of the last two years' income, unless the most recent year is lower, in which case the lower figure is used.

At Pepper Money, we also recognise a broad range of self-employed income, including:

  • Net profit before tax

  • Directors' wages and salaries

  • Depreciation add-backs

  • Interest on debts being refinanced

  • Superannuation contributions above the compulsory level

Alt doc requirements 

We’re one of the few major non-bank lenders offering multiple alternative income verification methods.

For residential lending, applicants generally require:

  • ABN registration of at least 6 months

  • GST registration of at least 6 months

  • Declaration of Financial Position

  • Plus, one income verification document

For income verification only one of the following is required:

  • Pepper Money Accountant's Letter (For ABNs ≥ 12 months)

  • Last six months' Business Activity Statements (BAS) 

  • Last six months' Business Bank Statements.
